Linda Stratmann

Responsive brochure website for an author writing fiction and non-fiction set in Victorian England.

We built a bespoke  portfolio section with a full catalogue of her works including links to buy them online at Amazon.

The Client
Linda Stratmann, a London-based author with a passion for Victorian England.

The Brief
To provide a responsive brochure website to include a catalogue of all the author's works plus a series of articles and talks. The site had to have a design appropriate to the Victorian period, and also needed to be easy to navigate and to encourage the viewer to browse Linda's portfolio.

The client had an existing site, but it was due an update and we agreed with the client that a full rebuild was the best option.

The Solution
We created the new website using CMS Made Simple, our open-source web design platofrm of choice. We replicated the look and feel of the original site, designed by Ideal Scene; we built in functionality to ensue the site is welcoming for the viewer and also easy to update as new items are added to Linda's portfolio.

We also included links through to the relevant pages on Amazon to promote online sales.

The Outcome
An updated site with improved layout and content organisation, and a strong presence in search engines. It includes a "List of Works" page where viewers can browse all of Linda's fiction and non-fiction works.

The Client's Response:
"I receive many compliments on the design of my website and am happy to recommend Spectrum for their fast and efficient service."
